Starts his dance studies with 11 years old at the “Municipal Ballet Theater from Sao Paulo Brazil”
Sergio Berto is a Brazilian Choreographer and Teacher graduated by "Raça Dance Company from Sao Paulo" directed by Roseli Rodrigues one of the most celebrated dance companies of the country, working during 08 years as direction asistent, choreographer asistent, teacher and bailarin.

To his own Academy Formation, has been studying with the most prestigious teachers from his country: Roseli Rodrigues, Ivonice Satie, Henrique Rodovalho, Marcio Rongetti, Toshie Kobayashy, Tindaro Silvano, Ismael Guiser,Lais Lima,Kika Sampaio,Inelia Garcia, Steven Harper,and many other names from his generation.

His studies includes:

Besides working for Roseli Rodrigues, Berto has worked for those great Brazilian Theathre Directors: Jorge Tacla (“Victor Victoria” and “Chicago”) and Miguel Falabella (“Godspell”) both one as Asistent of Coreography.

Also in Brasil, Berto improve his work as a producer. In 1999, creats the first “DECORDANCE”.

A singular event that met the best Dance Companies and the greatest architects from the country. All the money was given for important charity institutes from Sao Paulo, like the “Mao na Roda” a Dance Company Proyect created for dancers with physical descapacities.

In 2003, Berto starts a several interchange on Argentina, sharing his work with the most important Dance Companies of this country.

Invited by the great bailarin Maximiliano Guerra , starts his interchange as a Resident Choreographer from the Mercosur Ballet, creating for the ballet 4 original plays "Sand Storm","Exilie","4.1" and "My sweet love".

Later, in a continuous interchange in Argentina:

IUNA Comedy Dance Company (University of Dance),as Direction Asistent, Teacher and Choreographer directed by Ricky Pashkcus, creating for the Company the play "Just like Tutti Frutti".

Julio`s Bocca Foundation as a Jazz Teacher for the Musical Comedy career for 2º and 3º year's students (work shops )

With the great Argentinean Director Valeria Ambrosio, works as Choreographer for the play "To love Maipo" leaded by a great Argentinean actress ,Ethel Rojo, for the celebration of the 100 birthay of the Maipo Theathre.

For the Argentinean Ballet directed by Julio Bocca and Ricky Pashkcus, during 3 months as Direction Asistent and rehearsals, Teacher and Choreographer.

Also in Buenos Aires creates his own Dance Company ,"UTOPIA" and creates the plays "Marea", "Mother Moon" and "New Blood".

Convened by several dancers also for personal creations and coaching for internationat dance competitions.

His last coaching work,was preparing the dancer Maria Rita Fillipi,now first figure from Bahia Blanca Ballet, Argentina.

In august 2008 has been Invited by the great Argentinean dancer Silvina Cortes (Ballet D´Europe ,Marsella), to share his work as an choreographer for the Dance Video “TOLOSA”, recently presented in Buenos Aires, with excellent comments from the National press.

At this moment Berto has been invited to settle his Argentinean Citizen and to share seminars in Mendoza and also choreographing for Dance Studio Cristina Hidalgo the play Wind Letters...

Berto has also been invited to prepare part of the celebration of the 10 years of Mercosur Ballet, directed by Maximilano Guerra.

"Tolosa" Has been declared Municipal Public Interest by the Deliberative Council of the city of La Plata, decree number 43,393.
